Tides of the soul..

The Sound of the Sea

The sea awoke at midnight from its sleep,
And round the pebbly beaches far and wide
I heard the first wave of the rising tide
Rush onward with uninterrupted sweep;
A voice out of the silence of the deep,
A sound mysteriously multiplied
As of a cataract from the mountain's side,
Or roar of winds upon a wooded steep.
So comes to us at times, from the unknown
And inaccessible solitudes of being,
The rushing of the sea-tides of the soul;
And inspirations, that we deem our own,
Are some divine of foreshadowing and foreseeing
Of things beyond our reason or control.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

WAVE...

“You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment. Fools stand on their island opportunities and look toward another land. There is no other land, there is no other life but this.”

GO....

You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.
You're on your own.
And you know what you know.
You are the one who'll decide where to go.

The way home..

I traveled through a dark enchanted forest and got lost...not to worry...all the sweet fairytale creatures helped me find my way home.

And we had so much fun ....

Sweet childish days, that were as long
As twenty days are now.

Reflection..

If I make the lashes dark
And the eyes more bright
And the lips more scarlet,
Or ask if all be right
From mirror after mirror,
No vanity's displayed:
I'm looking for the face I had
Before the world was made.
~W.B. Yeats

Dear reader and friend..I'm out for a short while...going to the mountains to find some cool fresh air...I will be waving from a mountain top...see you soon..

Ah, summer, what power you have to make us suffer and like it.
-- Russel Baker

Just relax..A cold shower from time to time and the heat doesn't bother me....I am goin to take it slow today and maybe even find myself a waterfall..

Boating...

Broad water-lilies lay tremulously,
And starry river-buds glimmered by,
And around them the soft stream did glide and dance
With a motion of sweet sound and radiance.

- Percy Bysshe Shelley, The Sensitive Plant

Would you like to go boating with me..I promise, its not far to Never-never land.....

Within the silent shade..

The Violet

Down in a green and shady bed,
A modest violet grew;
Its stalk was bent, it hung its head
As if to hide from view.
And yet it was a lovely flower,
Its colour bright and fair;
It might have graced a rosy bower,
Instead of hiding there.

Yet thus it was content to bloom,
In modest tints arrayed;
And there diffused a sweet perfume,
Within the silent shade.

Then let me to the valley go
This pretty flower to see;
That I may also learn to grow
In sweet humility.

In the middle of NOW..

WOW..we had some severe thunderstorms yesterday...

We opened all the doors and windows...to let the storm winds enter our house..we had to barricade the doors so they wouldn't slamm shut again. The rain poored down with buckets..we dimed the lights so we could see the thunder light up our livingroom again and again. I sat on the stairs in the hallway..the wind in my hair..looking out on the lawn and the waving trees..my husband was standing in the doorway..From time to time he would step out to take a shower in the rain..Its one of those moments in time you just feel right in the middle of NOW..Letting nature take its course..

In The Undergrowth..

Slowly the sun rises..its very early in the morning and already warm..this is going to be a very very hot summers day..I would like to make myself very small and crawl into the undergrowth..Wander through dark green ferns and take a little siesta laying on a blancket made of moss....
Its a great place to spend your holiday...Its a magical place,where sunlight plays and casts his spells through the leaves,and when it rains..just go and take shelter in the doorstep of a rabbits hole..be carefull,don't fall in..or you will end up to meet a strange woman shouting.."Of with her head"...
Enchanting creatures live in the undergrowth..not only the Fairies..we all know that..but you will able to meet up with a ladybug and a grashopper....a dormouse....mr toad.....or a caterpiller. And later,when the sun sets..wait for the fireflies..and the hedhog..I promisse you it will be an adventure..So...take a dive into the undergrowth dearest reader and friend..surch for a big spidersweb made by my favorite spider..its a sign post and it says..stop right here..Its there where we will meet..see you soon..we will have a wonderfull weekend....

Come out come out where ever you are..

On these magical summernights we play this game...'find the Fairies and wish theme good night'..I already found three...

Soft moss a downy pillow makes, and green leaves spread a tent,
Where Faerie fold may rest and sleep until their night is spent.
The bluebird sings a lullaby, the firefly gives a light,
The twinkling stars are candles bright, Sleep, Faeries all, Good Night.

Promenade...

“The day of the sun is like the day of a king. It is a promenade in the morning, a sitting on the throne at noon, a pageant in the evening.”

Wallace Stevens quotes (American Poet whose work explores the interaction of reality and what man can make of reality in his mind. 1879-1955)

We don't have to change reality today..The sun rules..wonderful summerdays lay ahead of us...Share with me a lovely promenade in the shade of a cool green forest..
